Terms of Use
Last updated: February 2025
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using PMZero ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. PMZero provides an AI-powered product research service that scans public sources (e.g. Reddit, Hacker News, Google) to surface user pain points and feature opportunities. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Account and eligibility
You must create an account to use scan and project features. Account and authentication are provided by Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
3. Use of the Service
You may use the Service only for lawful product and user research. You may not: (a) use the Service to harass, defame, or violate others' rights; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer or extract source code or data beyond normal use; (c) resell or sublicense access without our permission; (d) use automated means to create accounts or abuse scan limits; or (e) use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party terms (e.g. platform ToS for sources we scan).
4. Scans and credits
Scan usage is metered by credits. Free and paid plans have different credit allowances. Purchases and billing are handled via Polar. Refund and cancellation terms are governed by Polar and our stated policy at the time of purchase. We may change plan features and pricing with reasonable notice.
5. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including the software, design, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your internal research. You retain ownership of content you provide (e.g. product descriptions). You grant us a license to process that content to provide the Service. Scan results are derived from public data and our models; we do not claim ownership of your reports or exports.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." Scan results are generated by AI and may be incomplete or inaccurate. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for decisions you make based on scan outputs.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms by posting a new version and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms or for operational reasons, with notice where practicable.
9. Contact
For questions about these Terms of Use, contact us at the support or contact option provided in the Service or on our website.
